The last batch of the newly admitted students arrived at Sofoline, on Monday 9th October, 2006. As usual, our gallant officers
and men of the Prempeh Cadet Corps were on hand to give them a warm welcome. They helped them to check out their houses, register
with their various house prefects and carry their luggage to the houses. The rains also showered on them abundantly, the
blessings that they would need for their stay at the Sofoline.

Those who were unable to make it to Sofoline before 6pm had a
tough time entering the campus. It is the tradition that students, whether fresh or continuing, report on the day of re-opening
before 6pm after which the gates are locked. The Headmaster had already warned before re-opening and even went on to advise that
if you are Wa based, it is better to set off a day earlier so as to get to Sofoline early. Most of the new students were accompanied
by parents and relatives who were excited that their wards had gained admission into Prempeh College. They ranged from farmers to
businessmen to medical doctors to Army Officers.
These are some of the comments of the Form One students (i.e. Class of 2009) after spending a few hours at Sofoline.

COMMENTS: I think it is a great privilege to be in Prempeh College. What all of us Form One’s should note is not to be afraid of our maiden experience, first time in SSS but rather be relaxed since the seniors have given us a very warm reception. Some are just pretending to be harsh but it is definitely not so. I think we are going to enjoy our stay here.
